Terms of use
Last updated: 05 September 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Lullabean is provided by Eelavan Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09892770), registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE.
Contact us at support@lullabean.co.uk. We will normally reply within 7 working days.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Eelavan Ltd. "You" means the person using the app.
2. These terms
By creating a Lullabean account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the app.
Two other documents form part of your agreement with us and you should read both:
- the Privacy Policy (https://lullabean.co.uk/privacy-policy), which explains what we do with your information
- the Health Disclaimer (https://lullabean.co.uk/health-disclaimer), which explains what Lullabean is and — importantly — what it is not
Where these terms conflict with the Health Disclaimer on a question of health or medical use, the Health Disclaimer wins.
You must be 18 or over to use Lullabean, and you must have parental responsibility for the baby whose information you record, or the permission of someone who does.
3. What Lullabean is
Lullabean is a shared logbook. It records the feeds, nappies, sleep, temperature readings and growth measurements that you enter, keeps them in sync between the two members of a family group, and displays them back to you alongside published NHS thresholds and UK-WHO growth reference data.
Lullabean is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It does not diagnose anything, does not tell you what to do, and is not a substitute for a midwife, health visitor, GP, or NHS 111. If you are worried about your baby, contact a healthcare professional. In an emergency, call 999.
The figures the app shows you — suggested feed volumes, centiles, temperature bands, nappy guidance — are arithmetic performed on the numbers you entered, and restatements of publicly published guidance. They are starting points for you to think about, not instructions. The Health Disclaimer sets this out in full and you should read it.
Accuracy is a shared job. The app can only be as accurate as what is typed into it. We are not responsible for the consequences of information that was entered incorrectly, entered late, or not entered at all.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us at support@lullabean.co.uk if you think someone else has access to it.
Please give us an email address you can actually receive mail at. It is how we reach you about security and about your account.
5. Family groups and shared access
Lullabean is built around one family group: the parents caring for a baby, and anyone else they choose to let in.
Invitations
To add someone, the family group's owner — the person who created it — issues an invitation from Settings. Each invitation is a code that works once and expires 24 hours after it is created. If you need to add two people, you issue two invitations. An invitation can be revoked before it is used, and revoking one does not affect any other.
Access levels
When the owner issues an invitation, they choose what the person will be able to see and do.
Full access. The whole record: the dashboard, the complete history, growth measurements and centiles, export and settings. A full-access member can create entries, and can edit and delete any entry, including yours. This is the level intended for the second parent, and the sharing is deliberately complete — at 3am one of you may need to correct something the other logged.
Limited access. Today's care logs only: feeds, nappies, sleep and temperature readings, whoever entered them. A limited-access member can log those things, and can edit or delete only entries they created themselves. They cannot see growth measurements, centiles, older history, export or settings, and they do not receive the health guidance the app shows parents. This is the level intended for anyone helping with the baby who is not a parent.
Every entry permanently records who created it. Editing does not change that.
The owner
The owner manages membership and nothing else. They can invite, revoke an invitation, change a member's access level, and remove a member. On the record itself the owner has exactly the same rights as any other full-access member: the same view, the same edits, the same attribution. Ownership can be transferred to another full-access member.
Removing someone, and leaving
The owner can remove any member at any time. Any member can leave whenever they like.
When someone is removed or leaves:
- their access ends immediately: they can no longer read, add to or change anything in the record;
- everything they logged stays in the record and stays attributed to them, because deleting it would tear holes in a history the family may need;
- they can be invited back later, and their past entries are theirs again.
One honest limitation: we can end someone's access to our systems instantly, but we cannot reach into a phone they are already holding. Information already loaded onto their device may remain visible there until they next open the app, at which point it is cleared.
We cannot referee. If members of a family group disagree about the record — who should have access, what should be deleted, whose it is — we are not in a position to decide between you, and we will not do so. Please think about this before issuing an invitation, and particularly before issuing one to someone outside your household.
6. Your data belongs to you
You keep all rights in everything you log. We do not claim ownership of your baby's record.
You give us permission to store, copy, transmit and display that content strictly so that we can run the service for you and the other members of your family group — syncing it between your phones, backing it up, computing centiles from it, showing it back to you. That permission covers nothing else. We do not use your content to train models, to build products, or for any commercial purpose, and we do not disclose it except as the Privacy Policy describes.
You can export everything as a CSV from Settings, at any time, whether or not you have paid us anything.
7. Using Lullabean properly
Please do not:
- use someone else's account, or join a family group you were not invited to
- try to break, probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or access data belonging to families other than your own
- use Lullabean to store information about a child you have no responsibility for
- upload anything unlawful, or use the app to harass anyone
- resell or commercially redistribute the app or its content
- use automated means to extract data from our systems at scale
If you do any of this, we may suspend or close your account (see §11).
8. Availability, and the honest bit about sync
We work hard to keep Lullabean running, but we do not promise it will be available uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on your phone, your network, the app stores, and our hosting provider, and any of those can fail.
In particular: realtime sync can drop. When it does, the app is designed to tell you rather than quietly showing you stale numbers. If you are ever unsure whether what you are seeing is current, pull to refresh — and if a decision matters, do not rely on the app alone.
We may change, suspend or withdraw features. If we withdraw something significant we will give you reasonable notice in the app, and you will be able to export your data first. If we ever discontinue Lullabean altogether we will give you at least 90 days' notice and keep the export working throughout.
9. What things cost
Lullabean is free to download, and the everyday parts of it are free to use.
These stay free permanently, for everyone:
- logging feeds, nappies, temperature, sleep and vitamin D
- the dashboard and the full History
- CSV export of everything you have logged
- sharing the record with the second member of your family group
We will not put any of that behind a payment at any point. In particular, we will not charge for the second person in your family group. An app built for two parents sharing one baby should not tax you for being two people.
Temperature banding stays free at every tier. It is the one piece of health information in Lullabean that can matter tonight rather than at the next appointment, and it will never sit behind a purchase.
9.1 Optional paid features
We may in future charge for the growth layer: weight, length and head circumference measurements, the centile charts, corrected-age plotting, and the health visitor report if we build it.
If we do:
- Anything that is free when you get it stays free for you. If you are already using a feature when we start charging for it, it stays available to you at no cost. We will not take something you have and put it behind a paywall.
- New paid features will be clearly marked before you buy, and you will be told the price and the renewal terms first.
- We will offer a one-off lifetime purchase alongside any subscription.
Paying is never a condition of getting your data. The CSV export always contains everything recorded in your family's record — including growth measurements and their centiles — whether or not you have paid us anything, and whether or not the screens that display them are currently available to you. Your rights under data protection law do not depend on a purchase, and we will not make them.
9.2 If you buy something
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, not directly from us. Their payment terms apply and they, not we, take your payment.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown, until you cancel. Cancel through your Apple or Google account settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. We cannot cancel a subscription for you.
- Deleting your Lullabean account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it separately or you will keep being charged.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. If you have a problem, contact us anyway at support@lullabean.co.uk and we will help where we can.
- Your 14-day right to cancel. As a consumer you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a digital purchase. If you ask us to give you access immediately and you then use it, that right may be reduced or lost — the app stores will tell you this when you buy. Nothing in these terms takes away your statutory rights.
- Price changes to an existing subscription will be notified to you in advance, and you will be able to cancel before they take effect.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Lullabean is supplied to you as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and if it is not you have statutory remedies which these terms do not affect. If our service damages a device or other digital content belonging to you and that damage was caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will repair it or pay you compensation.
Subject to that:
- We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time you started using Lullabean, or for business losses — Lullabean is supplied for personal and domestic use only.
- We are not liable for health outcomes. Lullabean records what you enter and displays published guidance. Decisions about your baby's health are yours, taken with healthcare professionals. We are not responsible for the consequences of a decision made in reliance on the app instead of professional advice. This is why the Health Disclaimer exists and why we ask you to read it.
- We are not liable for a reminder that does not arrive. Push notifications travel through Apple's and Google's networks and can be delayed or lost for reasons entirely outside our control. Do not use Lullabean's reminders as your only safeguard for anything that matters.
- Where our liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited to £100 or the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
11. Ending things
You can stop using Lullabean whenever you like, and delete your account from Settings. If other members remain, the record stays with them and your entries are re-attributed to "a parent". If you are the last member, the family group, the baby's record and every entry in it are permanently deleted. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, if we are legally required to, or if we discontinue the service. Except where we cannot — for example, where telling you would break the law or where the breach makes immediate action necessary — we will tell you why beforehand and give you a chance to export your data and to respond.
12. Other terms
Changes. We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days beforehand, and you can close your account before it takes effect if you do not accept it. Minor corrections take effect when posted.
Transfer. You cannot transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over our business, and if we do we will tell you first and it will not reduce your rights.
If a clause fails. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Not enforcing something. If we delay enforcing a term, that does not mean we have given it up.
Third parties. Nobody other than you and us has rights under these terms.
Law and courts. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your own courts as well as in England and Wales, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
Complaints. Email support@lullabean.co.uk and we will do our best to sort it out. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
13. Open source
Lullabean uses open source components. The full list of licences is in Settings → About → Licences.
